Risks in Repairs

Electronics repairs are often unpredictable. Your device may already be irreparable or could be damaged during the repair process.

Devices with glued display panels (such as iPads) where the display panel must be pried off always carry a risk of the panel cracking.

Touch ID and Face ID are also sensitive and can be damaged during repair.

Damaged components and parts including labor will be charged separately if the customer wants them replaced.

If the device is damaged due to PowerLogic's negligence, PowerLogic is liable for compensation. However, PowerLogic is never obligated to compensate more than the device's current value.

Device Condition When Submitted for Service

If you bring a device for cleaning service, you guarantee that it is functional. Every device is tested before service, and if it does not work, the service will not be performed and the device will be returned as is. The full price of the service will be charged upon return.

This condition does not apply to devices brought in specifically because they have a fault.

Bringing the Device for Service

Since PowerLogic does not have an official office address, pickups are usually arranged at a public place.

If a pickup is arranged, the customer is obligated to arrive at the agreed time. The customer has the right to cancel the pickup 10 minutes before the scheduled time. If the customer does not show up and has not informed us, PowerLogic will wait up to 5 minutes. Failure to show up entitles PowerLogic to charge the full cost of the work. Hourly work includes a repair attempt fee of €60 + VAT.

Responsibility for the device lies with whoever is transporting it. If the device is damaged during PowerLogic's transport, PowerLogic is obligated to repair the device up to its current value. PowerLogic may also first attempt to repair the caused damages.

Burden of Proof Responsibility

If the customer claims to have brought something for service that is not mentioned in PowerLogic's documents or receipt, the responsibility to prove such claim lies with the customer. PowerLogic's documentation serves as the basis for resolving possible disputes.

Scope of Repair and Maintenance Work

PowerLogic performs only those maintenance and repair actions related to the original fault description. If the customer wants additional services later, they must be agreed upon separately and will be invoiced according to the current price list.

Manufacturer's Warranty

Devices almost always need to be disassembled to the extent that manufacturers' warranties become void. Therefore, check whether your device's warranty is still valid before bringing it in for service.

Diagnostics and Repair Attempts

We always perform diagnostics first. If the device cannot be repaired or the customer decides not to proceed with the repair after evaluation, a fee for the work done (such as troubleshooting and assessment) will be charged according to the current price list. The customer commits to picking up the device and paying for the service even if the repair was unsuccessful.

The repair attempt fee is up to €60 + applicable VAT, unless otherwise agreed.

Liability for Device and Repair Warranty

After the repair, PowerLogic provides a warranty only for the components repaired or the service performed during the maintenance. The warranty does not cover other faults that may appear in the device. The warranty period is 60 days.

The warranty becomes void if the device has been opened or repaired by another service provider during the warranty period.

The warranty does not cover repairs if the device has been exposed to water, moisture, overvoltage, mechanical stress, or other similar damage. Mechanical damage includes, but is not limited to, bent HDMI ports and cracked circuit boards.

The warranty described in these terms is a voluntary additional warranty and does not limit the consumer’s statutory rights under applicable law.

Parts and Materials

The customer commits to paying for any replaced components and materials. PowerLogic must have all components approved by the customer before ordering.

If spare parts are not available or the repair is not economically sensible, PowerLogic may recommend stopping the maintenance or seeking alternative solutions.

PowerLogic does not provide any warranty for spare parts procured by the customer.

Privacy, User Data and Other Data

The customer is responsible for backing up data contained in the device before service. PowerLogic is not responsible for any data loss or damage during service.

Repair Schedule

PowerLogic always strives to provide the best estimate of the service duration. PowerLogic is not responsible for indirect costs caused by delays, such as inconveniences due to downtime. We always aim to return the device as quickly as possible.

Device Storage and Pickup

After the service is completed, a pickup time will be agreed upon. If the time is postponed for reasons beyond PowerLogic's control for more than 2 weeks, a storage fee of €10 per starting week will be charged. The price includes 25.5% VAT.

Repair Price

Repairs are priced either as fixed or hourly rates.

For hourly work, the minimum billing is always 1 hour according to the current price list. After that, work is billed in increments of 0.5 hours.

For fixed-price work, the price is what was offered unless something unknown at the time of the offer arises during the work. Such situations include more extensive damage than initially described by the customer.

If work outside the fixed price occurs, it will always be negotiated separately.

Payment Terms and Methods

Repair and cleaning work is mainly paid after service upon pickup. In exceptional cases, if the service is significantly expensive, PowerLogic may require partial payment in advance.

The most common payment cards are accepted.

Companies can also pay by invoice.

Shipped Products

Shipped products are repaired in order of arrival. It is the customer's responsibility to pack the product so that it does not break further during transport.

Products are sent back in the same packaging as they were delivered to us. PowerLogic is not responsible for damage or loss of goods while in the possession of the shipping company.

A return shipping fee is always added to the price.

Posti offers additional services, such as the Fragile Package service. If the customer wants such additional services, they must inform about them in advance. The costs of the additional services will be added to the final price.

Products are sent back to the customer once payment has been made.

Acceptance of Terms

By bringing the device for service or confirming the terms via a link received by email, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted these terms. We recommend customers to familiarize themselves with the terms carefully before handing over the device for service.
